Abstract

|
A transient bilateral total blindness was experienced after cesarean section under the endotracheal general anesthesia.
The occular complication after general anesthesia could be occurred by excessive external compr ssion of eyeballs with mask, keratoconjunctivitis by anesthetic gases etc.
In this case, we thought transient blindness occured due to hypertensive crisis by niethergin injecti n postoperatively for the sake of uterine contraction.
The authors report a case of transient blindness after cesarean section with the review of literature.
